Company History
H Polesy & Co Pty Ltd is a third-generation Australian owned and operated business. Established in 1950 by Herbert Polesy as a business trading in hessian and jute bags in Sydney, the Company was incorporated in 1967 under the leadership of Herbert’s son, Martin Polesy. In 1985, Martin’s son, Greg Polesy, assumed control of the business - a position he occupies to this day.
H Polesy & Co Pty Ltd has grown and expanded by constantly seeking new markets and researching new textile and packaging products.
From its beginnings in packaging, the Company has diversified and now has four distinct product divisions – Carpet Backing, Commercial Textiles, Industrial Textiles and Packaging. The Company employs personnel experienced in, and dedicated to, each of these key parts of its operations.
Originally based in Sydney, the Company now operates Australia-wide with office and warehouse facilities in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.

H Polesy & Co Pty Ltd is accredited to the internationally recognized standard AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000. The Company’s registration covers the Quality Management System for the sourcing, importation, storage, sales, printing and distribution of textiles, packaging and carpet backing throughout Australia, New Zealand and the Asia Pacific Region.
H Polesy & Co Pty Ltd has strategic alliances with its ISO accredited suppliers, ensuring the quality and continuity of supply of the products that it offers to its customers.
